“Get Set”—an extraordinary academic enrichment and day camp for 1st through 6th graders

Morning enrichment activities
Get Set provides academic enrichment that parents know will benefit their child along with day camp activities for 1st to 6th graders. Academic enrichment is conducted each morning, during which students hone and expand their reading, writing, language arts, and mathematics skills in the context of high-interest themes and under the direction of talented, credentialed educators. Students get lots of computer time for writing and editing, for thinking and problem solving, and they learn to use the scientific method to work out fascinating problems.

Day camp activities in the afternoons
In the afternoons, students engage in a variety of sports activities, arts and crafts, and, for campers in Grades 2-6, swimming at Mission Bay. There are also movie days and a variety of team-building activities. Get Set’s morning enrichment program together with the afternoon day camp encourages students to make new friends and have a fun-filled summer that allows them to Get Set for a truly successful year in school.

Schedule
Session I • June 20 to July 22 (Note that July 4 is a holiday and no program will be available.)
Session II • July 25 to Thursday, August 25

Program operates Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Childcare for students enrolled in the program is available beginning at 7:00 a.m. and extends to 6:00 p.m.

Fees
$825 per session. A nonrefundable $200 deposit is due May 1 for Session I and July 5 for Session II, and the remaining amount is due and payable on the first day of the session. Applications and deposits received on or before the due dates will provide the camper with free pizza lunch each Friday of the session. Sorry, but there are no refunds for cancellations after the first day of the session.

School calendar discrepancy
If your child’s school recesses for the summer after the start date for Session I and/or begins before the end date of Session II, you may be eligible for a pro-rated fee.
