• Active families with busy lives
• Kids who need more structure
• Students who need academic assistance
• Students who require more intensive instruction
In keeping with Mt. Helix Academy’s commitment to maximize the academic success of every student, we offer the full range of options for academic assistance. Our intensive and highly successful AIM HIGH Learning Center is designed for students who require special, intensive assistance in one or more subjects. We also offer a number of after-school programs that are designed to provide students with the level of additional assistance appropriate to their needs. Our homework programs are also designed to accommodate the busy lives of our many good families.
Primary/Elementary Study Hall
A supervised study hall is available to students in the Primary and Elementary modules from 3:15 to 4:00 p.m. each day. Students are provided a quiet, distraction-free environment in which to complete their homework assignments. Students quickly learn to organize themselves and their materials in order to complete their assignments successfully and promptly. Those who need a bit of help find that it is readily available from the study hall monitor. Many parents find the Primary/Elementary Study Hall an invaluable resource, which supports their busy home schedules and reduces the stress sometimes associated with homework completion.
Middle School Study Hall
A supervised, one-hour study hall, from 3:30 p.m. to 4: 30 p.m. is available to students in Mt. Helix Academy’s Middle School module. Students are provided a quiet, distraction-free environment in which to complete their homework assignments. Students quickly learn to organize themselves and their materials in order to complete their assignments successfully and promptly. The Middle School Study Hall is directly supervised by a Middle School teacher who provides the assistance each student needs to complete assignments.

Mt. Helix Academy’s Homework Club is available for students who need extra supervision and assistance from a teacher in order to fully understand their homework and/or to complete it successfully. Homework Club is for students who need more supervision and assistance than is available in Mt. Helix Academy’s after school Study Halls or that can be available at home.
Mt. Helix Academy’s Homework Club helps the following students:
• Students who are easily distracted at home or by other students,
• Students who have difficulty organizing themselves and their materials,
• Students who have difficulty starting their homework and persisting at it,
• Students who don’t quite understand what their assignment is, and
• Students who need some assistance with the subject matter itself.
In Homework Club, each teacher has no more than five students. As a result, each student is provided with the personalized assistance needed to get organized, get started, continue uninterrupted, actually obtain assistance with the assignment, and better comprehend the subject matter. Homework Club is designed for student success.
Mt. Helix Academy’s Homework Club is a great solution for students
and it’s a great solution for parents and for the family’s home life.
